Intimate Big Sur Cliffside Elopement with Their Closest Friends and Pup

When Alena and Daniel started dreaming about their wedding day, they knew they wanted something simple, intentional, and completely true to who they are. They envisioned a day surrounded only by the people who mean the most to them, the stunning California coast, and their sweet fluffy dog. Big Sur, with its dramatic cliffs and endless ocean views, was the perfect place for it.

They rented a beautiful big house perched high on a cliffside, with massive windows overlooking the Pacific. The morning was calm and filled with laughter as the natural light poured into every corner of the home. The girls claimed the top floor, which was flooded with sunlight, and turned it into their makeup and hair haven. Downstairs, the guys took over the pool table room, shooting a few games while music played and the mood stayed easy and fun.

Their dog happily ran between the two floors, checking in on everyone and soaking up all the excitement. Every time I turned around, he was either curled up by someone’s feet or trotting through the house with his tail wagging.

Pizza arrived as a casual snack before the big moments began. It was exactly the kind of relaxed, real-life touch that made the day feel so authentically them. When it was time for the first look, Alena stepped out the bright blue front door where Daniel was waiting. The smiles, the joy, and the way they looked at each other said everything about the love they share.

We all piled into cars and drove down to the coastline for the ceremony. They chose a cliffside spot with waves crashing against the rocks below and wildflowers blooming all around. Their friends formed a small circle around them, creating an intimate space as they exchanged their vows. The sound of the ocean, the salty breeze, and the genuine emotion in the air made it one of those moments you never forget.

After the ceremony, we wandered along the cliffs, exploring every beautiful pocket of the area. The flowers were in full bloom, adding splashes of color to the rugged landscape. Alena and Daniel held hands, laughed together, and soaked in the magic of Big Sur.

The celebration continued back at their Airbnb, where a private chef prepared a beautiful dinner for the couple and their friends. They gathered around the table, clinking glasses, sharing stories, and savoring the joy of the day. It was the perfect ending to a wedding that proved your day can be whatever you want it to be. Whether that means pizza before your vows, your dog running around during getting ready, or a chef cooking just for you, the most important thing is that it feels right for you.
