When Jared and Marie said that they wanted to scrap their wedding planning and elope in Iceland I was beyond excited. We planned out their adventure in Southern Iceland and it was just as magical as I hoped it would be!

Recently, I had the honor of capturing the elopement of Marie and Jared in Southern Iceland. We started the day by exploring the absolutely massive and epic waterfall, Skogafoss. This stunning waterfall that provided a magical setting. The waterfall cascaded down the rocks, and the mist created a sense of enchantment that we captured in our photos.
Next, we ventured over to seljalandsfoss. A truly incredible waterfall you can walk behind!
Finally, we ended the day at the black sand beaches of Vik, where the waves crashed against the shore and the cliffs provided a stunning backdrop for the couple’s intimate moments as they said their vows. I incorporated the natural beauty of the surroundings into the couple’s wedding photos, from the rugged cliffs to the black sands.
Throughout the day, we worked closely with Marie and Jared to capture their love story in a stunning and intimate way. We took a mixture of candid and posed shots to create a diverse collection of wedding photos that would tell the complete story of their special day.

After Skogafoss we drove to this cute little Hobbit-looking house and explored around there!
Next we headed to Seljalandsfoss, an absolutely incredibly large waterfall that you can walk behind. It is WET and so stunning. We got soaked, but it was definitely worth it!
The final location of the evening was at the black sand beach, Reynisfjara. With its dark black sand, incredible basalt columns, and PUFFINS, it was the perfect place to end such a gorgeous day. Marie and Jared said their vows and exchanged their rings as the sun disappeared and puffins flew over head. It was a magical moment.
