With its stunning red rock formations, expansive views, and thrilling hike, Devil’s Bridge offers a one-of-a-kind backdrop for your wedding day. Here are some tips for planning your Devil’s Bridge elopement:

  1. Plan Ahead

Devil’s Bridge is a popular destination, so it’s important to plan ahead to ensure a stress-free and enjoyable experience. Check the weather forecast and be prepared for the conditions, as Sedona can experience hot temperatures during the summer months. Additionally, obtain the proper permits and make sure to arrive early to secure parking and avoid crowds.

For this elopement we started our hike at 5am (about 2 hours before sunrise). We were able to do the entire hike alone and had quite a while to have the bridge to ourselves before other hikers started arriving.

  1. Choose Your Ceremony Location

Devil’s Bridge offers several locations for your elopement ceremony. You can choose to exchange vows on top of the bridge itself, with breathtaking views of the valley below, or opt for a more secluded location in the surrounding area.

  1. Hire an Experienced Photographer

Capturing the beauty of Devil’s Bridge requires a skilled and experienced photographer. Look for a photographer who specializes in nature and adventure elopements who will be able to fully capture the immense beauty of this location.

  1. Dress Accordingly

The hike to Devil’s Bridge is approximately 1.8 miles round trip and includes some steep inclines, so it’s important to wear comfortable and sturdy shoes. Additionally, consider the temperature and weather conditions when choosing your wedding attire.
