For those of you that know me, you know that I am NOT a cold weather person. I’m pretty much always cold, even on warm days! But I have always LOVED wedding photos in the snow. Something about the white of the snow and the white of the dress has always just seemed so incredibly beautiful to me.
So, over Christmas, when I went out to my grandma’s ranch in Utah, I was dying to take some photos in the snow!
A little backstory about my grandma’s ranch. It is actually my favorite place in the whole world. It’s between Bryce and Zion and I go out there multiple times a year to go explore the stunning beauty of Southern Utah and of course hang out with my (very badass) grandma.
I was so lucky that this gorgeous couple agreed to drive all the way out to my grandma’s ranch to do some photos! And WOW did Nena come prepared! She brought a truly massive suitcase full of beautiful dresses, and not 1 but TWO wedding dresses.
Not only that, but this truly impressive, and gorgeous, bride spent hours outside in the freezing snow in her dresses and wearing only CROCS ON HER FEET IN THE DEEP SNOW. She was so happy and absolutely a dream to shoot. There’s no way I could have ever done that (I was wrapped up in a bundle of coats with my big snow boots on and I was still cold!). Truly amazing.
