San Francisco truly is one of the most incredible places to do a photoshoot. Whether you’re looking for forests, beaches, stunning architecture, or views of the bridges, San Francisco really has it all and in a pretty concentrated area!
One part I personally love is that during a photoshoot you can often pick multiple places to give your gallery a nice variety of different kinds of photos!
Here are my top 5 places in San Francisco that make incredible backdrops for photoshoots:
1. City Hall
City Hall is truly one of the most stunning buildings I’ve ever been in. Descending the massive grand staircase will make you feel like a princess (or prince) in a fairytale. Every part of City Hall is so intricate and elegant, it’s a perfect spot to get married! Just remember City Hall is only open Monday-Friday!
2. Crissy Beach
If you’re looking for the quintessential San Francisco photos with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background, look no farther then Crissy Beach. Crissy Beach is one of my favorites because the beach is often empty and it’s SO close to the bridge that it’s the perfect spot. The only thing you need to watch out for here is the fog (Karl-Yes, the fog in SF actually has a name). There have been times where Karl has swept in so strongly that we couldn’t even see the Bridge from 100ft away from it!
4. Lover’s Lane
Lover’s Lane is truly one of my all time favorite spots to shoot. It’s so peaceful and gorgeous and one of the best things about it is that lighting is good pretty much at any time of the day, making it a perfect spot for family photoshoots. Just be sure to wear good walking shoes because it can be easy to trip on all the loose sticks!
